CHARLOTTESVILLE – Five members of the Virginia rowing team have earned All-Region honors, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced. Jennifer Cromwell, Kelsie Chaudoin, Jennifer Hutchins and Caitlin Mixter were all named to the first team, while Katrin Sydlik earned second team recognition.

All four rowers and the coxswain (Mixter) are part of Virginia’s No. 4 ranked Varsity Eight crew, currently competing at the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, Calif. The crew was named the ACC’s Crew of the Year after leading Virginia to its school-record ninth-straight ACC Championship.

Mixter is a three-time all-conference coxswain, while Cromwell was last year’s ACC Freshman of the Year and earned All-ACC honors this season. Chaudoin and Sydlik were also named to the all-conference team.
