• Was captain of the football team as a senior when he passed for 1,555 yards and 15 touchdowns
• As a pitcher in baseball he compiled a 1.62 earned run average in 15 innings of relief as a junior and had a 3.00 earned run average as a senior
• Sports editor of the Phillips Academy newspaper, “The Phillipian,” during the 2006-07 academic year
• Received the Ray Tippett Award for Achievement as a member of the football or baseball team in 2007
