The Park - Softball

Directions

The Park is located on the North Grounds of the University of Virginia. The Park has several multiple-use fields, including the varsity softball field, used exclusively by the Virginia softball team.

Prior to the 2009 season, The Park received a facelift, which included a new playing surface consisting of Patriot Bermuda grass, a drainage and irrigation system, state-of-the-art dugouts, bullpens, a second batting cage, scoreboard, fence and backstop.

The field seats 475 spectators with additional ample standing room around the field. The spacious Park's outfield fence stands 8 feet tall and is 220 feet from home plate in center and 210 down the left and right field lines, making it one of the biggest collegiate fields. The Park has served as the home field for the Cavaliers since the 1995 season.
