Agnello and Rosen Named to ACC All-Academic Golf Team

Greensboro, NC - Virginia women's golfers Nicole Agnello and Portland Rosen have been named to the 2011 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team as announced by the ACC today.

Agnello (Longwood, Fla.) picked up the honor for the second consecutive season. As a sophomore in 2011 she finished the season with a 76.16 stroke average and played in 10 of 11 tournaments. She placed 37th at the NCAA Championships, helping the Cavaliers to a best-ever fourth-place finish. She was 10th at the ACC Championships.

Rosen (Sugar Land, Texas) was a freshman in 2011. She placed 15th at the ACC Championships and competed for UVa at the NCAA Championships. Here best finish during the season was a third-place performance at the LSU Classic. She finished third on the team with a 75.57 stroke average.

To be eligible for consideration for the team a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintain a cumulative 3.00 average during her academic career.
