Strategic Ticketing Manager
Bobby Mengler joined the Virginia athletics department in 2011 as strategic ticketing manager. He previously worked as the director of ticket sales and services with the Lake County Fielders baseball team of the Northern League and Chicago Sky of the WNBA.
Mengler manages CavForce, a student group that focuses on sales and complements the Virginia athletics ticket office. The CavForce staff is comprised of current University students with a goal of developing individuals who can be placed in full-time jobs throughout the sports industry after graduation. Mengler and his staff contribute to all areas of ticket sales - selling full season tickets, mini-packages, and group tickets while also servicing current season ticket holders.
From 2005-08 Mengler worked as a season ticket account executive for the Chicago Bulls and Maloof Sports & Entertainment selling ticket packages for each of the organization's professional basketball teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Monarchs.
From 2008-10 Mengler managed a 12-person sales and services staff with the Chicago Sky that sold and serviced full season, mini-package, and group tickets. In 2010 he managed a seven-person sales and services, box office, and ticket operations department with the Lake County Fielders during their inaugural season in the Northern League.
Mengler is a native of Schaumburg, Ill. He graduated with a degree in sport management from Northern Illinois in 2004.
