Virginia Announces Radio Coverage For Nov. 28 Football and Basketball Games

UVa's football, men's basketball and women's basketball teams will be competing at the same time on Friday night.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - With the announcement by the Atlantic Coast Conference of an 8 p.m. kickoff time for the Virginia at Virginia Tech football game on Friday, Nov. 28, UVa’s football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball teams will be competing at the same time.

Virginia Sports Properties (VSP) and the Charlottesville Radio Group (CRG) produce live radio play-by-play coverage for each of these UVa sports programs. VSP and CRG have announced the following audio broadcast schedule for the Virginia football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games being played on Nov. 28 to provide the best possible coverage options for Cavalier fans to listen to all three broadcasts.

Football at Virginia Tech, 8 p.m.

The Virginia-Virginia Tech football game will be broadcast on the Virginia Sports Radio Network (including 97.5 FM in the Charlottesville market), and the Virginia Sports App (free of charge) with the pre-game show beginning at 7 p.m. The local and radio network football pre-game shows will air on WINA AM 1070 in the Charlottesville market from 5:30-8 p.m. WINA AM 1070 will also carry the football game until 9 p.m. when the programming schedule will switch to the men’s basketball pre-game show.

Women’s Basketball vs. Toledo, 8 p.m.

The Virginia-Toledo women’s basketball game can be heard on and Virginia Sports App (free of charge) with the pre-game show beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Men’s Basketball vs. La Salle, Barclays Center Classic, 9:30 p.m.

The Virginia-La Salle men’s basketball game at the Barclays Center Classic in Brooklyn, N.Y., can be heard locally on WINA AM 1070 in Charlottesville, and the Virginia Sports App (free of charge) with the pre-game show beginning at 9 p.m.
