Chick-fil-A Bowl Encourages Cavalier Fans to Paint Atlanta Orange

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Chick-fil-A Bowl announced Virginia will wear orange jerseys and Auburn blue jerseys in the 2011 Chick-fil-A Bowl game pitting the two teams Dec. 31 in Atlanta, Ga. The bowl has asked fans of both teams to match their school's designated color in the stands.

"We have a really fun and unique opportunity for both teams to wear their home colors for the Chick-fil-A Bowl," said Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Bowl president and CEO. "Auburn will be in blue and Virginia in orange. So we're asking all fans to support their teams and dress in their Cavalier orange or Tiger blue for the game."

Fans can purchase UVa apparel online at the Cavalier Team Shop, including an orange Virginia Chick-fil-A Bowl t-shirt.

Tickets within Virginia's Chick-fil-A Bowl allotment remain on sale and seats are assigned at the time of purchase. Tickets are $80 each and can be purchased online at or by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-542-UVA1, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
