Academic Coordinator â?" Football

Alexa Webb joined the Virginia Academic Affairs staff in 2017 as an academic coordinator for football. She provides academic advising, counseling and support in areas of course selection, registration procedures, degree requirements, career planning, University resources and academic performance for student athletes in the football program.

Prior to joining the staff at UVA, Webb was a graduate assistant in LSU's academic affairs. She assisted in providing academic advisement for over 100 student-athletes for women's basketball, women's soccer, softball, men's and women's swimming and diving and men's and women's track and field teams. She monitored academic progress, eligibility status and maintained class schedules for assigned teams. She also assisted in the recruiting process to provide prospects with information concerning academic support services. She prepared weekly grade reports, tutor reports and study hall updates for coaches, staff and administrators to keep them informed on student-athletes' academic progress. She helped to advise student athletes regarding academic majors, coursework and course registration.

Webb earned her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from Maryland in 2014. She completed her master's degree in kinesiology with a concentration in sport management from LSU in 2017.
