Spirit Coordinator

Kelley Haney is in her 14th year as the athletics department's spirit coordinator. In her role she oversees the spirit teams, including the Cavalier cheerleaders, dance team and mascots.

She was the head cheerleading coach for five years at Virginia Commonwealth University before assuming her responsibilities at UVa.

Haney is an American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators (AACCA) safety certified coach. She also serves as a judge at the high school and college national championships for the Universal Cheerleaders Association.

She graduated from VCU in 1993 with a degree in early childhood development where she was a cheerleader. She and her husband, Kevin, currently reside in Charlottesville.
