Assistant Shop Supervisor

Randy Hite is in his 11th year as an assistant shop supervisor in the Athletics Maintenance Department. Hite maintains buildings and grounds for the athletics department.

A native of Nelson County, Hite comes to Virginia from CGM, Inc., where he was the lead technician and foreman for 12 years. He also worked at Harry A. Wrights as an auto technician and welder for three years.

In college, Hite played football and baseball at Ferrum College for a year. He is also the record holder and winner of The Daily Progress' Home Run Derby.

Hite married the former Cynthia Hope, and the couple has two daughters: Heather Leigh and Amanda Camella. The family resides in Faber, Va.
