Sharon McCauley

Position: Administrative Assistant for the Executive Associate

Sharon McCauley is an administrative assistant in the athletics department and has been in her current position since 2007.

McCauley works for Jon Oliver, executive associate athletics director. She also works for Jim Bauman, director of sport psychology; Randy Bird, director of sport nutrition; the men's golf program and the wrestling program. McCauley handles all travel arrangements, travel reimbursements, official visits, recruit mailings, ordering of nutrition supplements, correspondence and various other duties for her administrators and programs.

McCauley is a long-time employee in the UVa department of athletics. Prior to her current position, she served for four years as an administrative assistant in the UVa athletics compliance office and nine years as an administrative assistant in the football office.

She has served on the rewards and recognition committee for the athletics department. She also earned a Teamwork Award in December 2010.

In addition to being a graduate of Grafton High School, in Grafton, W.Va., McCauley also earned an associate's degree in business from Piedmont Virginia Community College in 1991 and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

McCauley has a son, Christopher and his wife, Joby, as well as their two boys, Braddock "Brady", and Sullivan, "Sully". She also has a daughter, Shannon and her husband, Mark Marshall, who have a son, Caden. She resides in Lake Monticello.
