Academic Coordinator

Megan Maddox joined the Virginia Academic Affairs staff in January 2016. She began her work as the tutor coordinator, but quickly transitioned to an academic coordinator position. She dedicates herself to helping students from the field hockey, wrestling, and men's and women's swimming and diving teams reach their academic potential through individualized support.

Maddox is a certified Career Development Facilitator, Strong Interest Inventory, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator practitioner. She commits herself to developing and implementing workshops and one-on-one meetings to assist students in their transition out of college and into the professional world.

Maddox graduated from the Virginia with a B.A. in media studies in December 2014 and a M.Ed. in higher education in May 2016. She was a member of the UVA cheerleading squad from 2011 to 2015, worked as a graduate assistant in the UVA Athletics Compliance Office from 2013 to 2015 and was a Student-Athlete Mentor (SAM) within the UVA Life Skills Office from 2012 to 2015.
