Lauren Taylor has been an assistant director in the media relations department since September of 2007. During her tenure she has worked on print publications, marketing collateral materials and website design projects to facilitate the communications strategies and marketing objectives of the athletics department.

Taylor collaborates in creating Virginia's posters, season ticket brochures, print and digital ads, social media graphics templates, gameday programs and media guides. She is responsible for developing the current brand style guide, designing advertising guidelines and assists the athletics marketing office with gameday promotions.

Taylor helped build and maintain the athletics department's 19 ExperienceUVaSports.com websites created to assist the Cavalier coaching staffs with their recruiting efforts. She works with BlueChip Athletic Solutions to maintain and update those sites on an annual basis. She was also part of the design team that worked with CBS Sports Interactive to create the current VirginiaSports.com website.

In addition to her design duties, Taylor also assists the media relations staff with gameday event responsibilities including statistics, television broadcasts and other gameday duties. She is the secondary contact for softball, traveling and hosting home events.

Taylor is a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) and College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Prior to arriving at UVa, Taylor was a graphic designer for university relations at Radford University.

Taylor has received numerous College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)'s accolades for artistic design. Her most recent awards include: Best Media Guide in the Nation for a Single Sport (Field Hockey), Best Cover in the Nation for a Single Sport (Field Hockey) and Best Cover in the Nation for Softball in 2010.

She is a 2006 graduate of Concord University, where she competed as a two-sport athlete in NCAA Division II softball and volleyball. She earned a bachelor of arts in advertising/graphic design and studio art. Taylor also completed her internship in the public relations and marketing office at Concord University in 2004 during the name change and rebranding of the university from it's former namesake, Concord College. Among many projects, she designed the new logo for the athletics department.
