FOOTBALL: Coach: George Welsh, 16th season at Virginia, record: 109-70-3. 1997-98 record, 4-2. Last week, UVa played Duke(13-10 won). This week, UVa plays Florida State(Sat., Oct. 25, 7:00 PM, Scott Stadium, ESPN-TV).

MEN'S SOCCER: Coach: George Gelnovatch, second season at Virginia, record: 25-5-6. 1997-98 record, 9-2-3. Last week, UVa played Clemson(1-1 tie). This week, UVa plays Duke(Sat., Oct. 25, 7:00 PM, away).

WOMEN'S SOCCER: Coach: April Heinrichs, second season at Virginia, record: 25-8-3. 1997-98 record, 13-1-1. Last week, UVa played Loyola(MD)(2-1 won) and Florida St.(2-1 won). This week, UVa plays Clemson(Fri., Oct. 24, 7:00 PM, away) and Furman(Sat., Oct. 25, 7:00 PM, away).
