The UVa women's soccer team leaves Friday night to train in Michigan.

In 2009 Jeff White joined the Virginia athletics staff as the Director of News Content for VirginiaSports.com. White, a 1985 graduate of UVa, previously worked as a sports writer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Before coming to UVa, White worked for newspapers in Richmond for 21 years. He started with the afternoon News Leader and then moved to The Times-Dispatch when the papers merged in 1992. In addition to writing for VirginiaSports.com, he contributes to Virginia's athletics Facebook and Twitter sites throughout the year.

White and his wife, Beth, also a UVa graduate, have two children: Hannah and Zack.
