Assistant AD for Facilities & Operations

Dennis Womack is in his 35th year with the Virginia Athletics Department and his 10th as an assistant athletics director for facilities and operations. Womack is the game manager for various intercollegiate contests and maintains and coordinates the scheduling of practice sessions for many of Virginia's athletics teams. Womack also assists with the overall management and supervision of facilities.

Prior to his appointment as an assistant athletics director, Womack spent 23 seasons as the head coach of the Cavalier baseball team from 1981-2003.

Before being hired at Virginia, Womack spent six seasons as an assistant baseball coach and three years as an assistant ticket manager at Auburn University.

Womack, a native of Winson-Salem, N.C., graduated from Auburn where he played on the Tiger baseball team. He played baseball and basketball at a junior college prior to going to Auburn. He went on to earn a master's degree in heath and physical education from Auburn.

Womack and his wife, Catherine, reside in Charlottesville.
