FOR OPENERS

  • Virginia is set to match up with Notre Dame for the 14th time in program history. The Cavaliers hold a 4-9 record against the Irish, but the teams have split their last two matchups.
  • The Cavaliers are looking for their first road win over Notre Dame since the 2018 season when Virginia took home a 17-10 victory (3/17/18)
  • The Cavaliers are ranked No. 13 in the latest IWLCA and poll and No. 15 in the latest USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

SCHWAB ON FIRE

  • Virginia’s Morgan Schwab has been on an impressive run to start the 2024 season leading NCAA Division I with 30 assists on the season. A dual threat, Schwab’s 39 points are tied for the NCAA Division I lead as well.
  • The focal point of a Virginia offense that averages 15 goals-per-game, Schwab has her sights set on the Virginia career record for assists. With 128 to her tally, she needs just one to tie Lindsay Sheehan’s record of 129, and two to eclipse the record herself.
  • Schwab has already rewritten the Virginia record book on one occasion this season. In UVA’s last outing against No. 23 Richmond, Schwab dished out eight assists to set the UVA single game record.
