  • Justin McCoy is looking for his fifth consecutive bid after he became the program’s 14th four-time qualifier a year ago after winning the ACC Championship at 165 pounds.
  • The remaining nine Virginia wrestlers all seek their first bid as eight make their first appearance at an ACC Championship. Marlon Yarbrough is the only other wrestler to have competed at ACCs.

  • The Hoos have three competing wrestlers ranked in the InterMat rankings as Marlon Yarbrough checks in at No. 27 at 133. Justin McCoy (No. 16 at 174 pounds) and Ryan Catka (No. 33 at 285) are also ranked.
  • Dylan Cedeno is ranked No 27 at 157 but has been battling injury since the Hoos dual against Virginia Tech and will not see action at the ACC Championships. He was replaced in the lineup by Nick Sanko.
  • Sanko started the season at 165 but has filled in at 157 since Cedeno’s injury at Midlands.
  • Justin McCoy is 16-4 on the season with all four defeats coming at the hands of nationally-ranked opponents. He went 10-3 in dual action with a 2-1 overtime loss to No. 18 Max Maylor and a 2-0 loss to No. 2 Mekhi Lewis and a 4-2 loss to No. 18 Luca Augustine.
