2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Ticket Information

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament - First/Second Round Tickets (March 16-18)

Spectrum Center - Charlotte, N.C.

First Round Game: Virginia vs. UMBC, March 16 at approximately 9:20 p.m.

**IMPORTANT NOTE: Seating in the school allotment will be extremely limited. Only upper level tickets will be available through UVA's allotment. Fans are encouraged to order tickets for games in Charlotte through the Spectrum Center Box Office or through secondary market sources.

Patrons with 2017 donations to VAF and 2017-18 men's basketball season ticket holders will be granted the opportunity to REQUEST 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First/Second Round tickets beginning Sunday, March 11 at 9 p.m.

Requests for tickets will be accepted for the designated NCAA First/Second Round site online at VirginiaSports.com from Sunday, March 11 at 9 pm until Monday, March 12 at 2 pm using each person's registered online ticket account. Requests may also be made by calling 1-800-542-8821 or in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium during regular business hours. 

Requests will be filled based on VAF priority points for gifts through December 31, 2017. All 2017 VAF pledges must be paid in full to be eligible.

Please note NCAA ticket orders for the First and Second Round will only be filled should Virginia play in each round. Fans are not permitted to order First Round tickets without committing to Second Round tickets and vice versa. First Round tickets purchased through Virginia are only valid for the session in which Virginia plays.

Virginia Athletics reserves the right to implement ticket limits per donor account if the demand for tickets exceeds the supply.

Patrons may pick up First Round tickets in the lobby of the team hotel. The date and time will be determined the week of March 12. If Virginia wins its First Round game, tickets for its Second Round game will be available for pick up in the lobby of the team hotel during a designated time the day before the Second Round game. Tickets not picked up at the team hotel will be brought to the event site and available for pickup approximately one (1) hour prior to the beginning of the session in which Virginia will play each day. A photo ID matching the name on the ticket order is required to pick up tickets

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament - Regional Round Tickets (March 22 & 24)

If Virginia advances to the Regional Round, ticket requests will be open first to 2017 Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) donors in the Orange & Blue Club ($2,500) or above.  Tickets for the Regional will be limited by VAF giving level as follows: Scholarship Society ($30,500+) - 8 tickets, Champions Club ($22,600-$30,499) - 6 tickets, Commonwealth Club ($12,500-$22,599) & V Club ($6,200-$12,499) - 4 tickets, Captain's Club ($3,700-$6,199) & Orange & Blue Club ($2,500-$3,699) - 2 tickets.

Requests for tickets will be accepted for the NCAA Regional site online at VirginiaSports.com from Tuesday, March 13 at noon until Sunday, March 18 at 5 pm using each person's registered online ticket account. The request period for the Regional Round begins early to enable fans to have as much time as possible to make plans and for the athletics ticket office and VAF to service the needs of our fans. Requests may also be made by calling 1-800-542-8821 or in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium during regular business hours. 

Requests will be filled based on VAF priority points for gifts through December 31, 2017. All 2017 VAF pledges must be paid in full to be eligible.

Please note NCAA ticket orders for the Regional Round are good for both sessions (Regional semifinal and Regional final), even if Virginia does not win its Regional semifinal game.

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament - Final Four Tickets (March 31 & April 2)

Final Four Site: Alamodome - San Antonio, Tex.

There will be two options to purchase / request Final Four Tickets:

1) Patrons with 2017 donations to VAF and men's basketball season ticket holders will have the opportunity to GUARANTEE tickets by reserving a travel package through the designated Virginia Athletics / Virginia Athletics Foundation travel partner. Tickets up to the number of people staying in a hotel room(s) will be guaranteed (maximum 4 per room). All 2017 VAF pledges must be paid in full to be eligible. Travel package reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Seat locations will be based on VAF priority points.

2) Patrons with 2017 donations to VAF and men's basketball season ticket holders will be granted the opportunity to REQUEST 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Final Four tickets. Requests will be filled based on VAF priority points. All 2017 VAF pledges must be paid in full to be eligible.

The maximum number of tickets you can purchase is limited to either 1) the number of people you are guaranteeing through your hotel room(s) order in Option 1 above or 2) VAF maximums as listed in the "Ticket Request Maximum by 2017 Giving Level" on this page.

Note: If the number of tickets you are purchasing through Option 1 above is equal to or greater than your VAF maximum as listed in the "Ticket Request Maximum by 2017 Giving Level" on this page, then you cannot use Option 2 above to purchase additional tickets.

Requests for Final Four tickets will be accepted online at VirginiaSports.com from Tuesday, March 20 at noon until Sunday, March 25 at 5 pm, using each person's registered online ticket account. The request period for the Final Four begins early to enable fans to have as much time as possible to make plans and for the athletics ticket office and VAF to service the needs of our fans. Requests may also be made by calling 1-800-542-8821 or in person at the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium during regular business hours.

Requests will be filled based on VAF priority points for gifts through December 31, 2017. All 2017 VAF pledges must be paid in full to be eligible.

Please note that similar to tickets for the Regional round, all Final Four tickets are good for both sessions (two national semifinals and the national championship game), regardless if Virginia wins its national semifinal game. Fans are not permitted to order semifinal tickets without ordering final tickets and vice versa.

Donors and season ticket holders will be notified by e-mail as to the status of their request and pick-up procedures on the evening of Monday, March 26. If you do not receive an e-mail regarding the status of your request on March 26, please contact the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office.


University of Virginia Students - All Rounds of Men's Basketball NCAA Tournament Play

The NCAA provides a limited number of tickets to schools participating in the NCAA Tournament. Virginia's tournament block will include tickets for UVA students for each game in which UVA plays.

**IMPORTANT NOTE:
UVA students must pay for tickets to all NCAA Tournament games. By completing the request process, UVA students are committed to purchasing tickets if they are selected to receive a ticket. Cancellations are not permitted once a request has been entered.

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament - First and Second Round Tickets (March 15-18)

UVA students may request 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First and Second Round tickets through an online application process using their registered SHOTS account at UVASHOTS.com. The online request period will begin at 9 am on Monday, March 12 and will end at 2 pm that day. A credit or debit card will be required to secure the student's ticket request. Student ticket prices for the 1st and 2nd round games will be announced at a later time.

The selection process determining which students will receive tickets will take place at 2 pm on Monday, March 12 and students selected to receive tickets will be notified by the end of the afternoon that day.

All UVA student tickets for the First and Second Round games will be upper level seating. UVA student orders will be limited to one (1) ticket per student for the student's own use. Ticket prices are determined by the NCAA and host site, and will be announced at a later date. Once placed, ticket requests cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Please note NCAA ticket orders are good for First and Second Rounds assuming Virginia wins its first game. If Virginia does not advance to the Second Round, those orders will be not be charged or filled. Students will not be allowed to order First Round tickets without ordering Second Round tickets and vice versa.

Students may pick up their tickets in the lobby of the team hotel. The date and time will be determined the week of March 12. If Virginia wins its first game, a ticket for the second game will be available for pickup in the lobby of the team hotel during a designated time the day before the game. Tickets not picked up at the team hotel will be brought to the event site and available for pickup approximately one (1) hour prior to the beginning of the session in which Virginia will play each day. A valid UVA student ID matching the name on the student ticket order is required to pick up tickets, and only the student may pick up the ticket. Students may not transfer these tickets to another person.

UVA students may request 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Regional Round tickets through an online application process using their registered SHOTS account at UVASHOTS.com. The online request period will begin at 9 am on Monday, March 19 and will end at 2 pm that day. A credit or debit card will be required to secure the student's ticket request. Student ticket prices for the Regional round games will be announced at a later time.

NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament - Final Four Tickets (March 31 & April 2)

UVA students who attended a men's basketball game during the 2017-18 season will receive information by email on Tuesday, March 20 regarding student tickets to the Final Four.

All student tickets will be sold and managed through the NCAA and its ticketing procedure for Final Four student tickets.

The NCAA allots approximately 700 student tickets per each school in the Final Four. Student tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis through the NCAA to qualified students.  Students are only allowed entry for the game in which their school is participating.
