The Virginia men's and women's basketball teams host a combined 33 games at John Paul Jones Arena this season! Below you will find helpful information to prepare you for each game. Click here for John Paul Jones Arena facility information.

Clear Bag Policy
Virginia Athletics has enacted a clear bag policy for all home football and men's and women's basketball games. To learn more about this policy, click here.

Doors open one and a half (1.5) hours prior to tipoff for all men's basketball home games and one (1) hour prior to all women's basketball home games. Please visit the Guest Services desk inside the main lobby of JPJ with any questions that might arise on game day.

Parking and Traffic Information

Men's Basketball Parking

Reserved lots at JPJ, McCue and University Hall open one and a half (1.5) hours before tipoff and must be vacated one (1) hour after the conclusion of the game.

Don't have a reserved parking pass? There are several options to choose from, including:

  • North Grounds and The Park Parking Lots - Free on a first-come, first-served basis as available. Shuttles run between the Park and John Paul Jones Arena starting one and a half (1.5) hours prior to tipoff.
  • Emmett/Ivy Garage - Cash parking on game day. A 10-minute walk to JPJ.
  • Central Grounds Garage - Hourly fees apply. A 15-minute walk to JPJ.

Women's Basketball Parking

The JPJ West parking lot and garage are reserved for women's basketball season ticket holders. Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the McCue, University Hall and Cage lots.

Concessions Information

There is a variety of food and beverages to choose from at John Paul Jones Arena from partners like Papa John's Pizza, Ben & Jerry's, Chick-Fil-A, Pepsi and more. A variety of wraps and salads are available at the Good to Go stands outside sections 103, 113, 304 and 311.

Cavalier Team Shop Merchandise Locations at John Paul Jones Arena

Cavalier Team Shop merchandise stands at John Paul Jones Arena can be found in the concourse outside sections 103, 113, 306, and 310. Each location features official Nike gear including jerseys, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats and more.

In-Game Entertainment

We're excited to welcome back some new and familiar faces to Virginia men's and women's basketball game days! CBS19's Tara Wheeler returns as the men's basketball in-game host, while UVA fourth-year student Emily Caron will be handling women's basketball hosting duties. DJ Ron Manila will be providing the tracks from the DJ booth all season long.

You won't want to miss some of the nation's best halftime act performances coming to JPJ during the 2017-18 season. You're sure to be entertained!
