Football Parking on Game Days

  • Parking is by Virginia Athletics Foundation pass only in all lots near the Carl Smith Center: Home of David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium. Passes for these lots are obtained by donating to the Virginia Athletics Foundation. For more information about joining the Virginia Athletics Foundation call 1-800-626-8723.
  • Parking is available in the UVA Health System Parking Garage at 15th and Monroe Street off JPA at a per game price of $10 in advance and $15 on game day.
  • Parking is available in the UVA Emmet/Ivy and Central Grounds Parking Garges at a per game price of $15 on game day only.
  • General public parking is available in the University Hall, North Grounds, and Fontaine Research Park parking lots free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
  • The City of Charlottesville will provide Free Trolley service from downtown to Central Grounds on Saturdays from 6:35 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. The Free Trolley runs approximately every 15 minutes depending on traffic and picks up fans at 615 E. Water Street (Downtown Station). Passengers heading to Scott Stadium should use either the Jefferson Park Avenue at Cabell Hall bus stop (#11155) or the Emmet Street at Central Grounds Parking Garage bus stop (#10472)Virginia football ticket holders can also ride Route 7 for free simply by showing their printed or mobile game ticket. Free rides will be honored from three (3) hours prior to kickoff until two (2) hours post-game. Route 7 serves bus stops near the downtown parking garages and along Emmet Street by University Hall and John Paul Jones Arena. For more information on Charlottesville Area Transit, click here.
  • Accessible parking at North Grounds (corner of Arlington Blvd and Massie Road). A DMV-issued placard is required to park in this area. A free shuttle operates from North Grounds to Scott Stadium, beginning two hours prior to kickoff.

  • Reserved season parking passes are required for all levels of the JPJ Garage, the West Lot, East Lot, South Lot, and Cage Lot.
  • Entrance to levels 1 & 2 of the JPJA Garage is from Copely Road only.
  • Accessible Parking can be accessed through the West Lot from Massie Road, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Entrance requires a state-issued handicapped placard.
  • Parking is available in the UVA Emmet/Ivy Garage ($5.00 per game)
  • General public parking is available at The Park on a first come, first served basis. A free shuttle bus operates from this area to John Paul Jones Arena, beginning one and a half hours prior to tipoff. The shuttle is accessible.
  • Parking passes for men's basketball are not valid for other events at the arena that require reserved parking passes (i.e. concerts, shows, or special events.)
  • Lots open 1.5 hours pre-game and must be vacated 1 hour post-game.
  • Additional parking can be found within minutes of the Arena. Please see the map for cash and free locations.

  • All parking is free of charge and open to the public.
  • Parking is available at John Paul Jones Arena parking lots unless there is an event at John Paul Jones Arena.

Volleyball, Wrestling and Outdoor Tennis Parking on Game Days

Volleyball, Wrestling and Outdoor Tennis Parking Map

  • Located in the Culbreth Garage off University Avenue free of charge
  • Located in the Central Grounds Garage adjacent to Newcomb Hall (normal parking charges will apply)

Cross-Country Parking on Race Days

  • Located at Panorama Farms free of charge

Golf Parking for the Cavalier Classic

  • Located at Birdwood Golf Course free of charge

Swimming and Diving Parking on Meet Days

  • Located adjacent to the Aquatic & Fitness Center. Pay particular attention to permit requirement in adjacent parking lots.

Indoor Tennis Parking on Match Days

  • For indoor matches, limited parking is located free of charge adjacent to the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar's Head Sports Club. Additional free parking is located near the entrance of the Boar's Head Inn. Parking for tennis matches will be identified.

Rowing Parking on Regatta Days

  • Located at the event site free of charge.

Softball Parking on Game Days

  • Located at the Park free of charge.
