Towbin Named ACC Diver of the Week

  Virginia junior Kylie Towbin (New Canaan, Conn.) was named ACC Diver of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday (Jan. 23).

Towbin swept the 3-meter dive in the team’s dual meets against NC State (Friday) and North Carolina (Saturday). She recorded a score of 347.10 for a first-place finish against the Wolfpack, before topping the event against the Tar Heels with a score of 355.05. Her score against North Carolina set a Virginia record.

In the 1-meter dive, Towbin finished second against NC State with a score of 286.13. She finished eighth against North Carolina with a score of 210.00.   



The Cavaliers will return to action on February 14 for the Women’s ACC Championships.
