OMAHA, Neb. Day seven of the 2008 United States Olympic Trials continued Saturday in Omaha, Neb. Virginia is being represented by 35 swimmers, including 25 current members, at the event.
Virginia had two swimmers compete Saturday in the men’s 1500 freestyle. Former Cavalier Fran Crippen placed 29th overall in the event, finishing with a time of 15:41.21. Dan McMahon also recorded a time of 15:59.55 for a 59th-place finish.
Saturday marked the conclusion for Virginia swimmers at Olympic Trials. There are just two events slated for Sunday, the finals for the men’s 1500 free and the women’s 50 free.
