Wayne Northover joined the Virginia track and field program as a volunteer assistant coach in the fall of 2016.

Northover, who competed collegiately at Wayland Baptist (Texas), represented Jamaica at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the triple jump. He won NAIA championships in the long jump and triple jump at the 2014 national meet, propelling him to be named Most Oustanding Male Performer.
