GAINESVILLE, Fla.—The No. 5 Virginia men’s track and field team finished action on the first day of the Florida Relays Thursday (March 31) at Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Fla.

Sophomore James Williams (Radford, Va.) placed 23rd in the hammer throw with a personal-record mark of 51.07m (167’ 7”), which ranks eighth on UVA’s all-time list.

In the javelin, sophomore Anthony Bouselli (Hawley, Pa.) finished 10th with a PR of 60.89m (199’ 9”), which ranks eighth on UVA’s all-time list.

“We went 4-for-4 on personal bests across the men’s and women’s teams to start the meet,” UVA director of track and field/cross country Bryan Fetzer said. “We could not ask for a better beginning. The group is focused and excited to perform. I don’t espect the next two days to be any different.”

Action continues Friday (April 1) at noon. The SEC Network + (via Watch ESPN) will have a live broadcast from 12-4:30 p.m.
