In double-dual scoring, the Cavaliers defeated Columbia, 82-24, Maryland, 77-42 and Penn, 77-43.

"I'm very proud of how we competed this evening, going 3-0 with two school records and a bunch of NCAA-qualifying times," UVA director of track and field/cross country Bryan Fetzer said. "We need to continue to build on these successes and get ready for the next one."

Sophomore Bridget Guy (Greensburg, Pa.) broke the school record in the pole vault with a mark of 4.12m (13’ 6.25”), while sophomore Katie Freix (Chantilly, Va.) was second with a height of 3.52m (11’ 6.5”).

The 4x100-meter relay team of juniors Heather Smith (Chesapeake, Va.) and Andrea Wright (Chesapeake, Va.), senior Peyton Chaney (Belleville, Ill.) and junior Tori McKenzie (Chatham, Va.) won in a time of 45.77.

Chaney claimed the 200 meters in 23.50, which ranks fourth all-time on UVA’s all-time list and also won the 100 meters with a time of 11.53 (wind aided).

Junior Chimere Ezumah (Gardena, Calif.) won the 400 meters in 56.43. In the 100m hurdles, freshman Ciara Leonard (Elkins Park, Pa.) crossed the line first in 13.85 (wind aided).
