Bohan Finishes 11th in Shot Put at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - Virginia track and field senior Christine Bohan (Avon Lake, Ohio) earned second-team All-America honors on Thursday (June 8) at the NCAA Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

The senior recorded a mark of 16.59m (54-5.25) for a season-best in the shot put. She finished 11th overall in the event, after qualifying for the championships as the 16th seed.

Bohan earned All-America honors for the second time in her career.  

Virginia will conclude action at the NCAA Championships Friday (June 9). Seniors Filip Mihaljevic (Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Jordan Young (Windsor, Ont.) will compete in the discus at 8:05 p.m. Freshman Jordan Scott (Portmore, Jamaica) will compete in the triple jump at 8:40 p.m.
