Mihaljevic Named ACC Field Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C.--Virginia thrower Filip Mihaljevic has been named ACC Male Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday (Jan. 26).

A redshirt sophomore from Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mihaljevic rose the top the NCAA charts with an ACC, UVA and meet-record throw of 20.69m (67' 10.75") in the shot put at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet Saturday (Jan. 23) in Lexington, Ky. The mark is also an Olympic standard. He had three throws that ranked in the top-10 in the country this week and all surpassed his previous school record of 19.63 meters (64-5).

This is Mihaljevic's fourth career ACC weekly award.
