"Catherine ran really well tonight and has overcome so much adversity over the past couple of years, so tonight is just a culmination of her dedication and focus," women's distance coach Todd Morgan said. "It's great way to start off the meet for the team. We're happy to have the conference meet here in Charlottesville, and ending day one with an ACC Champion is great way to start."
