Guy Named ACC Field Performer of the Week

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-  Virginia redshirt junior Bridget Guy (Greensburg, Pa.) was named ACC Field Performer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday (April 24).

Over the weekend, Guy set a Lannigan Field, Virginia Challenge and school record in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.46m (14'7.5"). She finished first at the meet and posted the fourth-best performance in the NCAA this season.

Guy topped her previous career-best height of 4.30m (14'1.25") with her fourth jump of the night. She followed by clearing two additional heights to capture the facility and school record. 

The weekly honor is the second this season for Guy. She earned the first conference honor of the outdoor season on March 20.
