GREENSBORO, N.C.—Nine members of the Virginia track and field program were named to the All-ACC Indoor Track and Field Academic Team, the conference announced Wednesday (April 27).

Six Cavalier men, including senior Christian Lavorgna, junior Adam Visokay, sophomores Jack Lint and Filip Mihaljevic, and freshmen Robby Keough and Chase Weaverling were recognized, while three women, graduate student Iona Lake, senior Peyton Chaney and junior Christine Bohan were honored.

Across the indoor and outdoor track and field and cross country seasons, Lavorgna was honored on an All-ACC Academic Team for the fifth time in his career, while Chaney and Mihaljevic were recognized for the fourth time. Visokay and Lake are now three-time honorees, while Bohan, Lake, Lint and Weaverling were listed for the second time. It is Keough’s first All-ACC Academic nod.

Mihaljevic was the NCAA runner-up in the men’s shot put, while Keough and Lake earned USTFCCCA Second-Team All-America honors in the men’s distance medley relay and women’s mile, respectively. Mihaljevic and Lake were also ACC champions in the their respective events.

Bohan (women’s shot put), Chaney (women’s 60m and 200m) and Visokay (men’s 3,000m) all earned All-ACC honors, while Lavorgna (heptathlon) and Weaverling (men’s 5,000m) also scored at the conference meet. Lint set a new Cavalier record in the heptathlon at the McCravy Memorial Meet in January.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
