Brickhill Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

 -- Virginia junior Micah Brickhill (Buckingham, Va.) was named to the 2017 Academic All-District 3 Track and Field/Cross Country team, according to the College Sports Information Directors of America's (CoSIDA) release on Thursday (May 25).

Brickhill's year included two personal-best efforts, running a time of 2:09.94 in the outdoor 800m and recording a time of 2:58.44 in the indoor 1,000m. She was named the UVA Jettie Hill Memorial Award winner, an honor given to the Virginia female student-athlete with the highest scholastic average throughout her four years.

To be selected for Academic All-District, student-athletes must be a key contributor and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30.
