CHARLOTTESVILLE - Virginia senior Barbara Strehler (Richmond, Va.) has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District 3 Track & Field/Cross Country first team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday. With the selection, Strehler is now eligible for Academic All-America consideration.

Strehler was a 2013 All-American in cross country, finishing 24th at the NCAA Championships. She earned ACC All-Academic Team recognition in both cross country and indoor track this season. Strehler finished her career with the fourth-fastest outdoor time in the 5000m, an event that she earned honorable mention All-American honors last year.

To be selected to the team, an athlete must be a key contributor with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average at their current institution.
