CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—The nationally-ranked Virginia cross country teams will compete at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational Friday afternoon (Oct. 15) on the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wis. The women’s 6K race will begin at noon, while the men’s 8K is slated for a 12:45 p.m. start.

The Cavalier men, ranked No. 7 in the USTFCCCA and Saucony/FloTrack 50 national polls, will compete against 15 of the top-30 teams in the coaches’ poll (USTFCCCA), including No. 2 Syracuse, No. 4 Stanford, No. 5 Iona, No. 8 Michigan and No. 9 BYU.

The UVA women, tabbed No. 13 in the Saucony/FloTrack 50 and No. 17 in the USTFCCCA national polls, will face off against 19 squads ranked in the coaches’ top 30, including No. 1 New Mexico, No. 3 Providence, No. 6 Boise State, No. 8 Iowa State and No. 10 Washington.

FloTrack will be live streaming the race (FloTrack Pro subscription required) and live results will be available. The links to live streaming and live results will be available at VirginiaSports.com.

Last time out, the Cavalier squads both captured the team titles at the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational on Sept. 26. On the women’s side, graduate student Iona Lake (Norwich, England) won the individual title, while on the men’s side, junior Henry Wynne (Westport, Conn.) was the top UVA finisher, placing fifth.

Next up, the Cavaliers compete at the ACC Championships on Oct. 30 in Tallahassee, Fla.
