The seventh-ranked UVA women come into to the meet as the highest ranked squad in the conference, ahead of NC State (8th), Syracuse (16th), Notre Dame (17th) and North Carolina (29th). The Cavaliers are looking for their first ACC title since 1982. UVA’s No. 7 national ranking in the latest USTFCCCA poll is the highest mark in program history. Last time out, UVA placed fourth at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational on Oct. 16.
The meet will also signify the men’s and women’s cross country matchups between Virginia and Virginia Tech in the Commonwealth Clash, sponsored by Virginia529, the official college savings plan of University of Virginia Athletics.
