Cavaliers open 2014 season Friday (Feb. 14) against Kentucky

FOOTBALL AT VIRGINIA
• Has appeared in 34 of UVa's 37 football games since 2011
• Appeared in all 12 of UVa's games in 2013, seeing most of his time on special teams
• Saw time on defense in six games
• Made three tackles against Oregon
• Had two tackles and forced a fumble against VMI
• Played in 11 of UVa's 12 games in 2012; made two starts for the injured La'Roy Reynolds
• Made 13 tackles in 2012
• Made first collegiate start at TCU in 2012 and led UVa with eight tackles
• One of 12 true freshmen to appear in games in 2011

NEWTON HIGH SCHOOL
• Four-year baseball and football letterwinner
• Hit .450 in 2011 and .440 in 2010
• Named All-Region in 2010 and 2011
• Earned All-Area and All-County honors in 2009, 2010 and 2011
