Named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Pitcher of the Week on April 1st ... Picked up his third victory and recorded his second complete game shutout of the year by pitching 9.0 scoreless innings, allowing only four hits while striking out a game-high eleven batters in Virginia's 6-0 win against Maryland (3/28) - It was his second consecutive complete game shutout against Maryland after also shutting out the Terrapins on April 5, 2002 in College Park, Md. ... Pitched Virginia's first shutout of the year, going 7.0 innings and allowing six hits while striking out seven batters in a 11-0 victory over Radford (3/2) ... Notched his second win of the season by pitching 8.0 innings, allowing only one run on four hits while striking out six batters in Virginia's 13-1 victory against Duke (3/21) ... Pitched 7.0 innings, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out a game-high 11 batters in Virginia's 3-2 win over Charlotte (3/7) ... Named the ACC Co-Player of the Week after guiding Virginia to a 5-1 complete game victory over #10 Georgia Tech on April 26th, in which he allowed only three hits and one run, striking out three batters - the victory marked the first time UVa defeated Georgia Tech in Atlanta in 14 years, breaking Virginia's 18-game losing streak to the Yellow Jackets at Russ Chandler Stadium - the win also dealt Georgia Tech its first home loss of the 2002 season and snapped a 27-game home winning streak which dated back to the 2001 season (4/26) ... Pitched a complete game shut-out, allowing only four hits and striking out five in Virginia's 5-0 win over Maryland (4/5) ... Recorded UVa's first pitching victory of the season by throwing seven innings, allowing only two hits and two runs (neither earned) ... Recorded a victory over Old Dominion after pitching six innings, allowing five hits and only one run (2/22) ... Started and pitched six innings and recorded four strikeouts in UVa's 5-3 victory over William & Mary (2/27) ...
