VIRGINIA

• Virginia is making its sixth NCAA Regional appearance and third straight under head coach Brian O'Connor.

• For the second time in three years, Virginia is hosting a regional at its won Davenport Field at the UVa Baseball Stadium.

• With today's win, Virginia stands 47-13 overall and 32-3 at home.

• Virginia stands 18-9 against Lehigh in all-time series history dating back to 1890. The teams had not played since 1977.

• Virginia improved upon its school record for wins in a season with its 47th victory of the season vs. the Mountain Hawks. With its win over Florida State in the ACC tourney, UVa broke the former school record with its 46th win. O'Connor has led UVa to at least 40 wins for three consecutive seasons, which is also a school record.

• Senior LHP Mike Ballard made his 16th start of the season today against Lehigh. He stands 9-3 overall with 69 strikeouts.

• Freshman shortstop Greg Miclat leads UVa with 21 stolen bases in 23 attempts. He needs just five stolen bases to tie the UVa single-season record set by David Stone in 2002 with 26.

• Patriot League champion Lehigh is making its first-ever NCAA Regional appearance.

• With today's loss, Lehigh stands 28-27 overall and 14-9 on the road.

• Lehigh stands 9-18 against Virginia in all-time series history dating back to 1890. The teams had not played since 1977.

• Coach Sean Leary is in his 11th season at Lehigh. The 2006 Patriot League Coach of the Year stands 225-261-4 with the Mountain Hawks, becoming just the second coach in school history to earn more than 200 career wins.

• Junior catcher Matt McBride improved upon his school record RBIs in a season. He now has 60 RBI to date.

• Senior RHP Kyle Collina made his 15th start of the season today against Virginia. The Patriot League's all-time strikeout leader stands 6-6 overall with 87 strikeouts.
