VIRGINIA POST-GAME NOTES
Mike Papi led off the game for UVa with a home run to left, the first leadoff home run for the Cavaliers since Chris Taylor did so against Wake Forest on April 7, 2012 at Davenport Field
• Papi's leadoff home run is the first in NCAA play for UVa since Phil Gosselin leadoff with a home run in the first game of the 2010 NCAA Super Regional against Oklahoma
• Papi's home run was his first since clubbing one at North Carolina on May 17
• Papi's home run is the first by a Virginia player in the 2013 NCAA Baseball Championship
• With the home run, Papi has now reached base in 21 consecutive games
• LHP Brandon Waddell registered the second-shortest outing of his rookie season, logging 3.1 innings pitched, second lowest to his 3.0 inning outing against Miami on March 29

Regional game in a row. UVa drew 4,801 for each of the three games against Oklahoma in 2010 and drew 5,050 fans for each of the three games against UC Irvine in 2011

• MSU's 20 hits is the second-most this season. State had 21 against Portland to open the season on February 15.
• The 20 hits are the most for MSU in a super regional game.
• The two triples ties the most by MSU in an NCAA Tournament game and is the fifth time an MSU squad has had a pair of triples in an NCAA Tournament game (last time: vs Notre Dame, 5/28/00 in Starkville)
• State turned four double plays in the game, which ties a season high.
• The first four players in MSU's lineup were 12-for-19 with seven runs scored and eight RBI.
• Attendance for today's game was 4,956.
• First pitch was at 1:05 and the game last 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Player Notes
Adam Frazier tied an MSU record (with four others) with six hits in the game.
• With six hits in the game, Frazier moved into a tie for third all-time in MSU history with Richard Lee. He is three hits away from Brian Wiese's record (103).
Frazier's seventh triple on the season moved him into sole possession of second-place for triples in a single season.
Frazier and Hunter Renfroe combined to log 10 of MSU's 20 hits, going 10-for-11
Frazier was 6-for-6 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI, and two runs scored
Renfroe was 4-for-5 with a triple, three RBI, and two runs scored
Ross Mitchell earned his second save of the season, working 3.2 innings, allowing two hits. It was his first save since March 12 vs Southern Miss.
