CHARLOTTESVILLE - The University of Virginia baseball team concludes its 12-game homestand as it hosts Delaware this weekend for a three-game series at Davenport Field. The seventh-ranked Cavaliers (11-1) will play the Blue Hens (0-3) at 4 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Cavaliers are riding a nine-game win streak, posting an undefeated record at home this year. On Tuesday, they defeated VMI 5-3, as Virginia concluded February with 11 wins, the most the Cavaliers have ever won in the month.

Delaware opened the season last weekend at Richmond, where they were swept in the three-game series, 9-3, 7-5, and 2-0.

Sean Doolittle (3-0, 0.53 ERA), Jacob Thompson (3-0, 0.50) and Matt Packer (2-0, 2.20) are the scheduled starters for Virginia, while Delaware will counter with Billy Harris (0-0, 0.00), Matt Heppner (0-1, 4.76) and Brent Gaphardt (0-0, 0.00).

Virginia will begin a four-game road trip on Tuesday, when it visits James Madison.
