UVa-FSU Doubleheader Cancelled

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. The Sunday baseball doubleheader between No. 18 Virginia and No. 14 Florida State has been cancelled because of unsafe playing conditions. The games will not be rescheduled. Virginia wins the series by virtue of its 15-2 win Friday night against the Seminoles.

Fans with tickets from the Saturday and Sunday games may: (a) exchange their ticket in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular season game by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or (b) bring their ticket stub to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular season home game, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.

The Cavaliers (15-0, 4-0 ACC) remain the nation's only unbeaten team. They are back in action at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Davenport Field against Marshall and also play at 4 p.m. Wednesday vs. Canisius. No. 6 Miami comes to Charlottesville next weekend for a three-game ACC series.
