UVA Plays Court Authority in Exhibition Game on Wednesday

CHARLOTTESVILLE--The University of Virginia men's basketball team makes its first public appearance of the 1997-98 preseason Wednesday night (Nov. 5) when the Cavaliers play an exhibition game with Court Authority at University Hall. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

UVa head coach Jeff Jones said on Tuesday (Nov. 4) his starting lineup against Court Authority would include Willie Dersch (G/F, 6-5, So.), Colin Ducharme (C, 6-9, So.), Donald Hand (G, 5-11, Fr.), Norman Nolan (F, 6-8, Sr.) and Curtis Staples (G, 6-3, Sr.). Jones said Monte Marcaccini (F, 6-5, Jr.), Chase Metheney (C, 7-4, Jr.) and Chezley Watson (G, 6-2, Fr.) would also see significant playing time during the game. Ducharme, Nolan and Staples are returning starters for the Cavaliers.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for senior citizens and youth 18 and under.
