The Cavaliers are now 10-1 at the John Paul Jones Arena.

Wake Forest now leads the all-time series 63-59. UVa has won the last two games in the series.

The same five (Mamadi Diane, Laurynas Mikalauskas, Jason Cain, Sean Singletary and J.R. Reynolds) started for the fourth consecutive game.

J.R. Reynolds (13) and Sean Singletary (11) combined to score 24 consecutive UVa points after Jason Cain opened the scoring with a basket. They combined for 37 of UVa's 40 first half points. Reynolds led the way with 20.

Four players other than Reynolds and Singletary combined to score the first 14 points of the second half.

Wake Forest took its first lead, 29-27, with 3:17 remaining in the first half.

Jerome Meyinsse entered the game with 2:59 left in the first half. He did not play in the previous four games. It is also the first ACC game he has appeared in.

Sean Singletary made all four free throws in the first half and is now 36-36 from the line during the first half of home games. In the second half of home games, Singletary is 60-68 from the free throw line. On the season, Singletary is 120-130 (92.3 percent) from the free throw line overall this season.

Wake's Kyle Visser entered the game averaging 17.9 points a game while shooting 62.7 percent from the field. UVa held Visser to 8 points and 2-10 shooting from the field.

J.R. Reynolds set a new career high with 40 points. It is the third time in his career he has scored 30 or more points in a game. His previous career high was 32 points vs. Miami on Mar. 10, 2005 in the ACC Tournament. It is the sixth time this season he has scored 20 or more points in a game and the 19th time in his career. Reynolds set career highs with 12 field goals made and six three-pointers.

Reynolds 40 points are the most in the ACC this year. Sean Singletary had scored the most with 37 points (vs. Gonzaga - Jan. 3). The last UVa player to score 40 or more points in a game was Devin Smith vs. Iowa State with 40 points on Dec. 6, 2004. Reynolds' 40 points are the points scored by a UVa player at home since Donald Hand scored 41 vs. NC State on Feb. 14, 1999.

Virginia made 11 three-point field goals, the fourth time this season UVa has made 10 or more threes in a game. UVa made 5 three-pointers in the first nine minutes of the game and 7 in the first half.

Mamadi Diane scored 10 points, marking the third time this season he has scored in double figures in back-to-back games. He had a career-high 26 points vs. Maryland (Jan. 16) in UVa's last game.

Laurynas Mikalauskas pulled down a season-high seven rebounds. His previous season high was five vs. Maryland (Jan. 16).

Virginia was outrebounded 38-33 by Wake. It is only the fourth time UVa has been outrebounded by its opponent this season.
