The Cavaliers are now 12-1 at the John Paul Jones Arena.

The all-time series with Miami is knotted at 3-3. UVa has won the last three games in the series.

The same five (Mamadi Diane, Laurynas Mikalauskas, Jason Cain, Sean Singletary and J.R. Reynolds) started for the eighth consecutive game.

With tonight's victory, the Cavaliers (7-2) have moved into a first-place tie in the ACC standings with Boston College.

UVa has now won six-consecutive games to improve to 7-2 in the ACC. The last time UVa was five games over .500 in the ACC was 1994-95 when they were 8-3 - UVa won at Clemson 62-44 on Feb. 11, 1995. UVa was 12-4 in the ACC in 1994-95.

UVa's six-game winning streak is the long current streak in the ACC.

Virginia made 10 three-point field goals, the sixth time they have had 10 or more threes in a game.

Sean Singletary missed his first free throw attempt of the game, the first time he has missed a free throw in the first half of a home game this season. He had made 38 in a row entering tonight's game and is now 41-42. He missed five free throws in the game, which is the first time he has missed more than two free throws in the same contest this season and ties for the most free throws he has missed in a game in his career. He missed five free throws (9-14) against Gonzaga - Dec. 17, 2005.

Mamadi Diane scored 14 points, marking the first time in his career he has scored in double figures in three consecutive games (14 vs. Duke - Feb. 2 and 10 vs. Clemson - Jan. 28).

Sean Singletary (22 points) and J.R. Reynolds (18 points) both scored in double figures for the 11th consecutive game. Singletary has scored 20 or more points in a game 10 times this season (and 23 times during his career).

Laurynas Mikalauskas had three assists in the game - all in the first half - to establish a new career high.

Will Harris scored nine points. It is the most points he has scored in a game since tallying nine against Puerto Rico-Mayaguez on Dec. 21.

Sean Singletary has five assists in the game and passed the 100-assist mark (104) for the third consecutive season.

Bob McCormick scored the first points of his career with two free throws with 41.6 seconds left in the game.
