• Virginia won its home opener for the 16th consecutive season
• The Cavaliers improve to 15-0 all-time against the MAAC (3-0 vs. Fairfield)
• Virginia posted its first win of the season when trailing at the half (won four times when trailing at the half last season)
• Virginia held an opponent under 50 points for the 19th time in the Tony Bennett era
• Fairfield's 15 second-half points marked the first time Virginia has held an opponent under 20 points in a half since 13 points by Maryland (2nd half) on Feb. 18, 2012
• In the first half, Virginia's freshmen scored 17 of the team's 28 points and shot 7-9 from the floor
• After allowing Fairfield to shoot 52.2% (12-23) in the first half, the Cavaliers held the Stags to 20.0% (5-25) in the second half
