Team Notes

First time Virginia has gone to overtime in both regular season games against an ACC opponent since 1981-82, when Virginia won at home vs. Maryland and lost at Maryland
The last time Virginia played two overtime games against the same team in a season was 1986-87, when Virginia lost at North Carolina in the regular season and lost in double overtime to UNC at the ACC Tournament
Virginia fell to 0-3 in overtime games this season, losing three overtime games in a season for the first time since the 1986-87 season (0-3)
UVa leads the overtime games in the series 5-2, with both Hokie wins coming this season
Virginia falls to 1-6 in the ACC, its worst start to conference play since opening the 2004-05 season with a 1-7 record
The Cavaliers have had a double-digit lead in four of seven ACC games this season (BC, at FSU, GT, at VT)
Four of Virginia’s six ACC losses have either come in overtime or by two points in regulation
