Albert Reid is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach at Virginia. He will work with the defense.

Reid, a two-year letterwinner at UVA, appeared in 22 games for the Cavaliers after transferring from Maryland in 2015. He finished his college career with 1,287 combined rushing yards on 286 combined rushes between his two years at Virginia (2015-16) and his three seasons at Maryland (2012-14). Reid also rushed for 12 collegiate touchdowns between Maryland and UVA, nine of which came with the Cavaliers. Reid had his best collegiate season on the ground in 2016 when he rushed for 480 yards on 98 carries. Reid led UVA with six rushing touchdowns in 2016. 

Reid, a native of Washington, D.C., is a 2015 graduate of Maryland with a degree in criminology and criminal justice. He played high school football at Friendship Collegiate. He has one son, Ayden.
