Career - Until his season-ending injury in 2013, of the 2,055 defensive plays Virginia had lined up for since the opening game of the 2011 season, Nicholson had played 1,981 of those plays, meaning since Sept. 3, 2011 he had played 96.39 percent of UVa's defensive plays until he was injured late in the third quarter against Ball State.

2013 - Started UVa's first five games before being sidelined the remainder of the season with a lower extremity injury sustained in the third quarter against Ball State ... made 20 tackles on the season and broke up four passes ... made five tackles in season-opening win against BYU ... had five tackles against BYU ... recorded two tackles against Oregon ... broke up two passes against VMI ... made five tackles and his lone interception of the season at Pitt ... recorded seven total tackles against Ball State before being injured. 2012 - One of 11 Cavaliers to start all 12 games ... tied for the ACC lead in pass breakups with 15 ...
