AT VIRGINIA: 2000?Handled all of UVa?s place-kicking duties for the first time after serving as the team?s kickoff man the previous two years ? led team in scoring with 60 points ? booted 30 of 49 kickoffs into the end zone, resulting in 18 touchbacks ? connected on 11 of 15 field goals and finished third in the ACC in accuracy, making 73.3 percent of his attempts ? also made 27 of 28 extra points ? kicked career-long 48-yard field goals against Duke and Maryland ? also made a 47-yarder vs. Wake Forest ? made all five attempts from 30-39 yards and was three of six from 40+ ? booted two field goals vs. Richmond (38 and 25 yards), Duke (23 and 48 yards) and Wake Forest (34 and 47 yards) ? didn?t have a kick blocked all season ... earned his third letter. 1999?Was Virginia?s kickoff man for the second year in a row ? strong leg enabled him to reach the end zone most of the time ? boomed 41 of 63 kickoffs into the end zone, resulting in 26 touchbacks ? allowed only five returns of more than 29 yards ? kicked off at least seven times in each of the last three games of the regular season ? had five games overall where he kicked off at least seven times ? assumed the kick scoring duties late in the Buffalo game, taking over for Braverman, who hurt his leg ? missed his first extra point attempt in that game ? was true on his second attempt ? filled in for Braverman in the last game of the regular season against Maryland ? converted all four extra point tries, while making the first two field goal attempts of his career ? booted field goals of 42 and 43 yards ? didn?t seem to be affected by taking on all the place-kicking duties ? kicked off seven times against the Terps and had a career-high six touchbacks ? the only kickoff that didn?t reach the end zone was a squib kick to prevent a long runback following UVa?s winning touchdown in the final 30 seconds ? handled the kickoff duties alone in the Micronpc.com Bowl vs. Illinois due to Braverman?s return ... lettered. 1998?Played in all 11 regular season games and against Georgia in the Peach Bowl ? handled kickoff responsibilities ? started the season slowly, but got stronger as the season progressed ? in the last four regular season games, he kicked off 22 times and had nine touchbacks ? this contrasts to his first seven games where he kicked off 37 times and had just five touchbacks ? added an extra point against San Jose State in his only kick scoring opportunity of the season ... with Virginia trailing Georgia 35-33 late in the fourth quarter of the Peach Bowl, he helped the Cavaliers regain possession with a perfectly-executed onside kick which was recovered by Devon Simmons on UVa?s 47-yard line ... UVa then drove to the Georgia 31, setting up an unsuccessful 48-yard field goal attempt by Todd Braverman with 19 seconds remaining ... lettered. 1997?Red-shirted ... did not see any game action ... in uniform for games against Richmond and Duke.
