2002--Started all 14 games after red-shirting the previous season... made a career-high 56 tackles, including 31 solo stops, and was the team's third-leading tackler among defensive linemen ... made at least two tackles in every game ... in on five tackles in the season opener vs. Colorado State, more than his total from his freshman year ... had a tremendous game in the win over Duke with a career-high 10 tackles ...three tackles in a stingy defensive effort against Clemson ... four tackles each against Penn State and N.C. State ... had only two tackles as UVa upset Maryland to clinch second place in the ACC, but might have turned in the play of the game ... blocked a field goal attempt in the first quarter that could have put the Terps ahead 10-0 ...instead the Cavaliers gained possession and reeled off 34 unanswered points and won 48-13 ...had nine stops, the second-highest total of his career, against Virginia Tech ... was in on six tackles vs. West Virginia in the Continental Tire Bowl.
